"Green consortium - living in a sustainable culture"
The festival will open with a FREE TO THE PUBLIC farmers' market/ Green Consortium from 6pm-9pm in front of Rainbow Blossom Natural Foods, 3738 Lexington Rd.
Included will be a number of green/sustainability-minded businesses geared to further the public's education on social health and sustainable living. Representatives from over a dozen will create an atmosphere in which Peak Summit concert-goers will have an opportunity to open their minds and hearts to processes which will propel our society into the future with fearless vigor.
6-7pm will serve to open the Peak Summit's doors to all.
7-9pm will include entertainment from the Salvation Army's Chef Tim Tucker, who has piloted a program to teach the homeless to cook, then place them into jobs. His success rate is staggering. He has FORMED A BAND, named Shelby Park Soul Stew, during which he runs his COOKING APPLIANCES through guitar effects, whilst backed up by a bassist , drummer, and others. The results are some tasty grooves that revolve around his kitchen-noises. After his set, the audience gets to sample his work!
8-9pm will close the Green Consortium out. At that point, the Festival's Bus System will be running, and stopping in front of Rainbow Blossom to circulate traffic.
